Question

Somewhere here and their I read that the web keeps all of the banned accounts, I don't have anything against that. BUT what about the names??? I mean what if someone wanted to be named "DepletedRose" yet someone had that name but got ban, this means they can't use that name... so what can be done against that? I'm just talking about the names availability...

yes I suppose openstudy should do a clean at some point
considering the fact that many first time users just make an account, don't get their questions answered fast enough, and leave never to come back

but it wasn't like we could change names anyways
if anything people could add random numbers to the end of their names :P

If someone has already registered a name, then you will have to pick something else. Currently, there is nothing you can do about it. You can't claim the exact username that has already been taken. If you try to select a username and see that it's already been taken, you will need to select a different one. It may be helpful to add a number or an underscore (i.e. _) to the username you're trying to use.

Also, you cannot change your username on here at present. Once you made it, you cannot modify it.
