The Muslims toppled the Visigoth kingdom in Hispania and replaced it with their own Emirate called Al-Andalus. It lasted from 711 to 1492. The Caliphate did invade Roman territory and besiege Constantinople from Greece, but they did not manage to have any lasting control in Anatolia or elsewhere in Europe, Rome was too strong.
