What is 0.55 hectometers expressed in decimeters?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This question is about understanding metric prefixes. 'hecto' refers to 100 while 'deci' refers to 0.1 (don't confuse "deci" with "deca"! "Deci" is one/tenth, while "deca" ten times)

So, if we have 0.55hm, then to get to decimeters we would need to move the decimal place 3 places to the right (100 -> 10 -> 1 -> 0.1). Doing this we find that 0.55 hectometers = 550 decimeters
