Question 5 (Multiple Choice Worth 4 points) Why did early civilizations begin in river valleys? A.The flooding of rivers created good farmland. B.Rivers provided plenty of fresh water. C.People could hide from enemies in river valleys. D.River valleys had many trees for building.
rivers were the main source of transport, waste disposal, and water. River valleys also tend to be sheltered from extreme weather and have fertile soil for farming.......so...all of the answers work :P but i'd go with "b"
They had a source of water to drink from, they could plant crops because of the irrigation, and they could hunt animals, because animals needed a water source too.
I would say that it is most likely B.
so...we have a consensus..."b" it is
OK I WAS READING IT AND THOUGHT IT WAS B BUT DIDNT KNOW IF IT WAS RIGHT OR NOT !
