First plot the four points so we will know which vertices are adjacent so we don't end up find the slopes of the diagonals. After that find the slope of each side. The opposite sides will have the same slope. Then see if the slopes of the adjacent sides are negative reciprocal of each other which will prove the sides are perpendicular which will then make it a rectangle.
