Why is V/m the same as N/C?

There are many ways to find a way to show this. I'm going to just give you my process based on how I know the unit conversions. V / m ; meters is already SI. A volt can be simplified into a Joule per Coulomb J / C. A Joule J is also N m A Newton N is kg m / s^2 So: V/m = J/mC = Nm/mC = N/C
