If resources were unlimited and freely available, making choices would not be necessary. Every person could have as much as they wanted of any good or service. Economics, the science of choice, would be unnecessary.

Yes that is true. But resources are unequally distributed around the world in terms o quantity and quality- they are not freely available. Also resources like land- i.e iron ore, coal and minerals for use in the production process are non- renewable, meaning that they will become depleted over the years. They are not renewable.
