What does 'gravimetric factor' mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Converting the grams of a compound into the grams of a single element. For example.... Let me show you the gravimetric factor of Cl in AgCl. Atomic mass of Ag(107.868) while the atomic mass of Cl(35.453) . Add them up to get 143.3. You would then divide mass of Cl(35.45) by the mass of AgCl(143.3). This gives you .247g this is the gravimetric factor of Cl in AgCl
