How would you find the domain and range with the graph of a quadratic function ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

domain represents the values of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and range the values of y

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

well the domain of the quadratic will be all real x, unless there is a restriction defined in the question for the range you need to find the minimum value or maximum value the parabola gets to. the easy way to do this is to find the vertex of the parabola, the y value in the vertex is the max or min value... so if a max y =< max value min y >= min value hope it helps

|dw:1412485419769:dw| Sorry for the bad drawing lol. So ,the vertex is (-2,-6).The minimum value is -6 .The range would be \[Y \le-6\]
