So particle P is held by two light inextensible strings AP and BP. P is in equilibrium. I need to find the two tensions T1 and T2.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have tried using lami's theorem but i dont think im doing it correctly

OpenStudy (shinalcantara):

are you familiar with the equation of equilibrium?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes but im quite confused with the resolving of the forces angles

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the angles i just took 180-inversesin(40/50) and 180-inversesin(40/104)

OpenStudy (shinalcantara):

we will first find out the angles for each supporting cables |dw:1412505742818:dw| |dw:1412506123994:dw|
