OpenStudy (anonymous):

x^2-x-9/x-3

OpenStudy (gorv):

factorise numerator

OpenStudy (gorv):

or divide directly

OpenStudy (gorv):

here division will be better as factor are not easy to do

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You should first write it correctly. x^2-x-9/x-3 means \(x^{2}-x-\dfrac{9}{x}-3\) and probably is not what you intend. Try instead: (x^2-x-9)/(x-3) which means \(\dfrac{x^{2}-x-9}{x-3}\) Good luck with the factoring...
