OpenStudy (anonymous):

the length of the hypotenuse of a right triangle with legs of 20 cm and 21 cm.

OpenStudy (eg145341):

I think it's 29 cm.

OpenStudy (whpalmer4):

According to the Pythagorean theorem, if you have a right triangle with legs of length \(a\) and \(b\), the length of the hypotenuse (\(c\)) will be given by \[c^2 = a^2 + b^2\] Don't make the frequent rookie mistake of forgetting to take the square root of the sum! @EG145341 please don't provide answers; the goal of OpenStudy is to help the student learn how to do it on their own
