hi can you help? I need to find the value of x and y 2x + 2y =5 5x + 5y =16

if you solve the 1st equation for say "y" what would you get?

if you multiply the first equation by -5 and the second by 2 your x's and y's cancel and you get 0=22 which is a false statement that makes it no solution.
