Geometry: <1 and <2 are a linear pair. m<1=x-39, and m<2=x+61. Solve for x and find the measure of each angle. What I did was set them both equal to each other because linear pairs are congruent. x-39=x+61 But I do not think that is correct because when I tried to solve it, it didn't work out too well. Help please!

linear pair means the angles add to 180 degrees so x - 39 + x + 61 = 180 solve for x
