Want to learn some Arabic? will im making some Arabic tutorials of some of the basics, if you want a tutorial on something specific then ask me ^^ (I was going to post them here so everyone can see, but again this is not the right place) check my questions to see them :) hope they help ^^
Questions: What will the Arabic tutorials cover? Are pronunciations by voice or transliteration?
pronunciations and transliteration
like this: Wahed = 1 Ethnan = 2 Thalatha = 3 Arba'a = 4 Khamsa = 5 Sita = 6 Sab'a = 7 Thamnia = 8 Tes'a = 9 Asharaa = 10
Transliteration is horrible for learning Arabic in my opinion. However the idea is nice, perhaps you could find someone willing to do voice-overs.
ya i agree, i wana focus on how to pronounce them, and hmmm...for the voices? how?
This sounds really cool, but as Op mentioned, voice - overs is a key to this haha, I tried a few and I'm sure I butchered it. Cool idea though, if you do make a tutorial just post put it up and send it to @Abhisar as he's making an official tutorial forum :P
Perhaps ask any native Arabic speakers on this site? @fateal
hmm pl ^^ @Opcode ik some people on here ;o and @iambatman i will, but first i want to make good ones first you know :/ i dont want to just give him some random ones that are full of my chat with other people... i want it more proficianl ^w^ and I can do the voices....but idk how too :/
@Joel_the_boss @-StudyShark- @Teddyiswatshecallsme @Donblue22 @abb0t @dan815 and many other people, I know you guys get bothered when I use Arabic x3 want to learn it to know what im talking about? xD
Yes I do <33 @fateal
A guy in my class is from Iraq. He taught me al-salaehmoe aleykoem, kayfa haaloeka?
@thomaster I made a tutorial n wrote that in it too :)
@Joel_the_boss ill teach ya ;o
Isn't that so nice of her @Joel_the_boss I learned Arabic at school for like ten years but I can't speak it. The best I can do is read it...
:O omg @TheSmartOne i can help you with that if you want :) its not that hard, will the fact that you need to be able to pronounce some stuff...yet you can replace them with other sounds ^^ its not that hard :)
thanks @fateal I mean I can read the Quran and that is good but one day I want to understand what it means and all...
the trick with that is knowing what the words mean, because as you know if you'll change a simple y/e to a then everything will change. like: kayfa halooky? thats for girls kayfa haloka: thats for guys
Yeah I know it also matters about the tamarboota and I know what it means. It means how are you doing..
oh ya, if its open then your talking about a verb: Anta, Anty, Antuma, Antuna (lol guys, in Arabic letters the T is at the end and the rest is the vowels, just for the confusion) and the closed its more in names: like Fatima
@thesmartone tbh till now idk which one to use for my name, Ha or ta' marboota xD
If I want to learn Arabic, I'll pester the Jordanian in out front office. Or better yet, his son, who is half Jordanian and took Arabic in college and has the books to cover it. His summer vacation in Jordan has also helped hone his pronunciation.
'>-> @e.mccormick lol ok i see ^^ my dad has many degrees in Arabic and Islamic Philosophy from: Iraq, Iran, London, Lebnan, and some other countries ^w^ My mom is one of the top students on Iraq colleges and majored History because of what her dad told her. (my parents are cousins xD) I'm an Arabic Teacher since I'm 12, I teach: Arabic, English, History, Ethics, and some more other topics to kids from age 3 and up, yes even adults who are 35 and older ^w^ so your free if you don't want to learn from me :)
lol i had to add that to my bio :')
Yes, but I can sit and talk with him. So there. =P
@fateal @thesmartone She is really nice to teach but wouldn't we need more teachers she cant handle that many students on her own <33 But she's going into be my teacher, right fate?
ofc Boss <33 ill be your personal teacher if you want xD
I've been handling some really tough kids o.o when i teach i take a grib on them, my sis is loose, once she asked me if she can teach some kids, i said yes. i went on a break for 5 min, i came back and i swear to you one of them was crawling under the chairs, idk how did he fit throw xD when i teach no one dares to take a breath x3 im not that rough, but if you want to teach kids then this is needed some times ;-;
i think i can handle about 20-30 people by myself @Joel_the_boss i cant get bored xD
nice idea ^_^ but its more about how to pronounce also playing with words , see there is no full translations hmm verbs noun thingy is tricky hmm idk what to say else , im a writer in arabic thus i feel sad when i see someone talks simple arabic language xD
can you make full sentences to write letters
i was thinking of making some short full convos like how are you and all that...
