whats the difference between a compound light microscope and a transmission electron microscope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The 'light' microscope basically uses light (which is focused by lenses on an object so that it can be viewed) while the transmission electron microscope uses a beam of electrons ( which is focused by magnetic lenses in a column that contains the specimen). Also, the table below lists the difference between light microscopy and electron microscopy. Maybe, it will be of help to you.|dw:1412603637605:dw|
