Make sure the co-efficient of \[x^2\] is \[1\] i.e divide off \[3\]everywhere in the equation, then use the quadratic formula \[\frac{-b\pm \sqrt{b^2-4ac}}{2a}\] to solve for \[x\], then you can factor.
