This can't be answered, hurricanes have been hitting places all over the world for hundreds of years, and as long as the Earth has existed. We don't keep records of millions of years ago.

The 20th century started in the year 1901, so you can narrow down your research by asking "What was the first hurricane to hit America in 1901? "
This may help: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1901_Atlantic_hurricane_season

You're welcome. :) Also, The article mentions that the first storm to hit in 1901 was called the "Tropical storm One". Here is a bit about it: The season had an early start with a tropical storm forming near the Isla de la Juventud on June 11. It passed over the western tip of Cuba and moved through the Gulf of Mexico as a weak tropical storm, finally hitting the Florida Panhandle on June 14. After moving inland, the storm rapidly weakened to a tropical depression. It continued northward and eventually curved northwestward. By June 15, the storm dissipated over southern Illinois.
So, the first hurricane to hit America in the 20th century occurred in June 14 of 1901. :)
