Help ! Seven subtracted from 3 times a number is equal to 9 more than 5 times the number. What is the number?

3x-7=5x+9 can you solve that?

alright first well deal with the non-variables, and subtract 9 from both sides. 3x-16=5x then well subtract 3x from both sides, -16=2x divide both sides by two and youre left with -8=x if you dont get it let me know because i feel like im not explaining well enough
