OpenStudy (anonymous):

using distributive property, make it y= |-2x -2| -1 then simplify y=2x+2-1 y=2x+1 @hedyeh99 couldd you please confirm this?

Depends

OpenStudy (acxbox22):

no...you cant simplify a function like that...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What you should do is just plug in values for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

until you get a good graph. also use wolfram alpha.com http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=-2abs%28x%2B1%29-1
