How do the properties of a compound compare with those of it's elements?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

compounds are made up of elements. for example O2 is the natural state for oxygen in the air, it is an element consisting of only O atoms. Where H2O is the compound of water where H and O molecules are present together. so elements are used to build compounds. hope that helps!
