What is you opinion on Jehovah's Witnesses?
I will restrain what I truely think about JW's, but this is what I think towards JW's with respect to the bible: Their fundamental doctrine contradicts what is taught in the bible. Their view on Jesus Christ is utter blaspheme. Their doctrine is utterly dependent on what the Watchtower teaches, and not the bible itself. They are not true Christians. Please, if you disagree with any of these points, prove me wrong.
Why do you feel that way? @JonnyVonny
The JW doctrine, utterly contradicts what the bible teaches.
Why do you say our view on Jesus is blaspheme?
The Jehovah Witness' view Christ as a mere Prophet. Jesus is God himself, and there are numerous occasions which that is evident.
If you refer to Jesus anything short of God himself, that is blasphemous.
But in the bible it says that Jesus talk about someone higher my father
He was speaking literally; at that time, he was 100% man and 100% God; the fact that he was in flesh, making "his Father greater than [him]".
When Jesus asked who he was to his disciples, Peter said that he was the Son of the Living God; and that refers to Old Testament prophecies.
Also, when doubty Thomas saw Jesus resurrected, after he touched Christs' hands, he knelt down and worshiped him; no one gets worshiped except God himself.
Not even the angel in Revelation was worshiped; when John fell down to worship the angel after the angel gave him strength, the angel said something like "I am but a servant to the Lord".
Yes but Jesus also never became king on earth because he said until my father calls I will continue to preach his word
And in John 10-11, Jesus says that "The father and I are one".
True but John 6:57a says Just as the living father sent me and I live because of the father
Hmm, @dejmccray , what version did you use for that? In the KJV it reads "As the living Father hath sent me, and I live by the Father...". Jesus Christ went down to Earth to be crucified for mankind.
She uses The New Worlds Translation Of The Holy Scriptures. But you know on our bible app that we have we also have the KJV...^
Yes @JonnyVonny I use The new worlds translation
@xo.minnie.xox why do ppl think that when ppl die if they were bad something happenes to them?
I really dont know. Maybe THEY think they should be punished. Even though God is love..
So what, @dejmccray and @xo.minnie.xox , where does Hitler go? And child rapist? And Satanist who preform human sacrifices? Is there no justice after they die? Is God not a just God?
Also, why do you not ALWAYS use the KJV? Why alternate when you want? I'll tell you why; they don't want you to actually know what the bible says at certain times, just as that passage above.
Hitler would go to Hell and Hell IS NOT a fiery place of torment..it is said in the bible to be a grave. So he will stay in his grave... His "punishment" will be not being resurrected and not being able to like eternally in a paradise Earth
So, Hitler will suffer the same fate as a common, normal atheist? One who didn't do nearly the amount of horrible deeds as Hitler?
Yes hitler did bad things but now he isnt in hell or anywhere else he is what jesus described as death like a deep slumber and Jehovah could possibly give him another chance in the future to right his wrongs and learn
Where in the bible does it say a man will have another chance to be rejudged, for a different punishment?
Not a different punishment because there is only one (Deep slumber/Hell/Grave). @JonnyVonny
