Explain why (x+2)/(2x)=(1)/(x) is extraneous
Explain If**
@Imtiaz7 Do you think you could help again?
have you tried solving for x?
yes. Would you like to see the solution?
yes please
Extraneous Solution is a solution of the simplified form of an equation that does not satisfy the original equation. so here if we put the value of x which is zero but it doesnt satisfy the original equation because it doesnt equal to be zero
So, If my equation Does equal zero and when I checked it, It was correct, Then my equation is not Extraneous?
Again, Thank you very very much
if it not equals to zero then it will be called extranous and here it is
No problem Lissie and cute cat :)
yes, once you find an answer, you want to plug it back ito the original equation to see if it is still true. if it is not true, then that answer is extraneous
Thank you :)
and one more thing Lissie, if u ever suffer any problem in maths u can freely ask me at any time then i'll be here for u, if it is in my knowledge i must help u:)
