what is negative feedback in feedback amplifer?

OpenStudy (kenljw):

First you must understand how feedback works, if you have positive feedback you may cause something to blow up, such as the A-Boom, but in circuitry you just might cause a component to burn out or distortion. Negative feedback is used to adjust input/output impedance and bandwidth of a amplifier essentially stabilizing it.
