How did colonists react to the Proclamation of 1763? They were pleased to have new guidelines about territory for settlement. They were angry that Britain had limited the area available for settlement. They were pleased not to have to cross the Appalachians to establish farms. They were grateful to have more British ships bringing goods to ports.
