Find the area of the region

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = x^2 - 2x y = x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I have the graph drawn and found the bounds \[\int\limits_{0}^{3} (x^2- 2x) - (x)\]

When I solve for the area, I get -9/2. The answer is 9/2. Am I doing something wrong? or is this just one of those things that happens

OpenStudy (tkhunny):

You're just upside down. Try x - (x^2 - 2x). List the greater, first.

Oh wow thanks, I originally tried that, but I just noticed i forgot to distribute the negative
