How is it that the mod's purple outline is never effected by the orange war, but people with yellow, the dirty pee olive color, and green all get set back to red? Just curious.
This is because SmartScore fails, however the moderator's outline colour is not dependant on SmartScore rather it is a static template (isModerator if true then blah blah) where as normal users have the need for dynamic calculation before their colour is loaded. However since the calculation fails, we end up in a beautify red colour. Peace.
Oh. Right. But they check the smartscore to determine the color too, so wouldn't it still show the right color even if it doesn't show the smartscore?
wait nvm don't answer that
I just re-read what you said :p
' dirty pee olive color' how descriptive lol
Indeed, these bits are handled by different parts of the system, and the SmartScore bit is the only one that gets backed up. The rest of the system continues working just fine. Which means that when SmartScore issues happen, your page still loads and you can still interact… But you get these orange wars :) Consider that the alternative would be for the whole site to stop loading… That wouldn't be fun at all, would it!
(When I say “backed up” I don't mean as in “make a backup”, but rather as in “there's too much going on, we're a bit backed up today”.)
