chris is studying oxidation and reduction reactions. which of the following could she use as an example of an oxidation reaction? a. formation of atp from glucose during respiration. b. formation of carbohydrates from carbon dioxide during photosynthesis. c. formation of oxygen from water molecules during photosynthesis

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just need the beinging of it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean there is a word before is present

OpenStudy (aaronq):

a. formation of atp from glucose during respiration glucose is oxidized and ATP is formed (directly in glycolysis and the citric acid cycle, and indirectly in the electron transport chain).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont know what ur talking about aaronq

OpenStudy (aaronq):

no problem lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@aaronq it's not a

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its B

OpenStudy (aaronq):

it can't be B, \(CO_2\) is the most oxidized form of carbon, to make carbohydrates it needs to be reduced. i said A because in order to make ATP, you need to oxidize glucose molecules (to \(CO_2\)).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it is not B!!
