OpenStudy (anonymous):

How are the poems "The Black Snake" and "Vern" alike? A. They both have speakers who want nothing more than to set an animal they love free. B. The rhythm in both poems is slow. C. They both have speakers who are enthusiastic and positive about the animal in their poem. D. The tone in both poems is sad.

OpenStudy (nightwielder):

Black Snake should be that poem about the dead snake on the road. From what I remember, I can eliminate some choices. I remember that Black Snake was not enthusiastic and positive, so I think we could cross out C.

OpenStudy (nightwielder):

I haven't read Vern. Black Snake is sad. I don't remember Black Snake's rhythm. I am not sure about A being right or wrong. Again, I am working with only one poem to see if I can eliminate as much as possible, so sorry.
