Fine the slope of the line through each pair of points (-2, -3) and (-1, 5)

something to help. I already tried figuring it out and I think my answer is wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it would be 8/1 which simplifies to just 8 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but how?! LOL Ok so isn't the formula something like y2-y1 over x2-x1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which would be 5-3 / -1 - (-2) which should equal 2/1?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup, The equation to find this is (y2-y1)/(x2-x1) Its 5 minus a negative 3... which is 8 for the numerator

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ooooohhh I was subtracting the negatives incorrectly. Got it! Thanks!

Those videos really helped, Markiplier! Thanks!
