OpenStudy (haltiamali):

g(x)=12x^2 + 5x - 7 Help please!(:

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about it?

OpenStudy (haltiamali):

i'm supposed to simplify it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First multiply the 7 with 12

OpenStudy (haltiamali):

-84

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now take out its LCM and show it to me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

whoah hold the phone it is a function there is nothing so "simplify" here at all

OpenStudy (haltiamali):

well I'm supposed to solve the quadratic equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[g(x)=12x^2 + 5x - 7\] is defining a function that ia all

OpenStudy (haltiamali):

Oh that's what my problem is though

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there is no such mathematical operation as "simplify" you can add, subtract, multiply, divide, combine like terms, solve for \(x\) all kinds of things, but not "simplify" and none of the above can be done to \[g(x)=12x^2 + 5x - 7\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you could graph it evaluate it at a number but you can't simplify it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you post the exact problem with the question attached? a screen shot or something?

OpenStudy (haltiamali):

It just says "ASSIGNMENT: Solve the following quadratic equations. 2) \[g(x)=12x^2+5x-7\]
