Let f(x) = x + 2 and g(x) = x2 Find ( g o f)(-5

geerky42 (geerky42):

\[(g\circ f)(x) = g(~f(x)~)\] So since \(g(\mathbf{\color{red}{x}}) = \mathbf{\color{red}{x}}^2\); What is \(g(\mathbf{\color{red}{f(x)}})\)?

geerky42 (geerky42):

I would first plug -5 in f(x) to solve for f(-5), then plug that value in g(x)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.... i'm sorry i don't understand it

geerky42 (geerky42):

Can you find what is \(f(-5)\)?
