What is the value of 3 • (–8) – 2 • (–5)?
do you know order of operations?
yea
what parts should you do first ?
(-8)
which just means -8
yea I know
help me laggon
lol. just use the order of operations man. You start off with parenthesis which was -8 and -5 later. then start multiplying what needs to be multiplied. 3 * -8, then whatever that equals multiplied by -5. Then you can go ahead and subtract 2 from the product you arrived at. Its all just order of operations.
-31
it helps to put parens around what you do first. multiply before add/subtract so do this (3 • –8) – (2 • –5)
refresh your browser if that is not readable.
that's what I did an I got that
can you show the steps?
well I did -8 then all of that and I did -5 then did all that
can you add more info what did you get for (3 • –8) what did you get for (2 • –5) ?
wgot for (3 . -8) =-24 (2 .5) = -10
