Which best describes an idea that has scientific consensus? All scientists must support the idea. Few scientists think the idea is valid. Most scientists disagree with the idea. Most, but not necessarily all, scientists agree with an idea
Hey!
Well lets get down to it scientific consensus is simply just all the scientists agreeing in a specific field of study. Like five of them all agreed that chocolate tastes like M&Ms.
What would you think it is?
B should be your answer.
Scientific consensus is the collective judgment, position, and opinion of the community of scientists in a particular field of study. Consensus implies general agreement, though not necessarily unanimity.
Unanimity just means agreement .
So only few of the scientists would agree that M&Ms tastes like chocolate.
Ignore pretty much everything live4him112 just wrote. The answer is D. Consensus means agreement. Scientific consensus is when most scientists agree on something. E.g. 97% of scientists who study global warming say that it is occurring so there is scientific consensus that global warming is occurring. Also, unanimity means all in agreement so that means 100% agree. It does not just mean agreement.
As i read up on the subject. B should be the answer. And Scientific consensus is collective judgment, position, and opinion of the community of scientists in a particular field of study. So if that is the case then only FEW of the scientists would agree with your topic and think it is valid.
Is English your native language? It appears you are misunderstanding the definitions of some of the words you are reading. Your definition of scientific consensus is correct. Using that definition, the answer is obviously D...
I guess your right @jedi_trooper
Now that I think on the subject more D sounds more Correct. And yes I Am an English-Man aka its my Native Language. I also speak Spanish!
