If P = 100 N (Force) , M=45kg, and angle is 25degrees, what are the magnitudes for the following force? b) The frictional force acting on the box

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Im not sure how to find the frictional force. I know its Ff = mew(f) Fn

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

you have to draw a free body diagram and go from there. you need to seperate the force into x and y components using the angle of 25 degrees. use Newton's 2nd law and find the total force in the x and in the y directions.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay i have a big big big question

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

ok quickly. i have a mid term in a few minutes. lol.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so on the y component its Fn - mgcos( ) on the x component its Ff - Fapp

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

is this on a hill?

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

or is the force at the 25 degree angle?

OpenStudy (zephyr141):

ok
