Find two consecutive integers whose sum is 73. Which of the following equations could be used to solve the problem? 2x = 73 2x + 1 = 73 2x + 2 = 73 x2 + 1= 73

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The first term will be x. Since the numbers are consecutive the second term will be x+1 So we have x +x+1 = 73 Combine the variables x

Do you have an idea of what it would be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok. so when we have two variables that are being added. it will be represented as 2x. We have 2x + 1 = 73.

That's not good enough, sevon01. If you really have no idea, you are in the wrong class and should back up to a lower class. Give us a hint where you are. Show us YOUR WORK. Don't you DARE make studygeek15 do all the work.
