Carol is 66 inches tall and that is 20 inches less than two times the height of Mindy. Well add 20 to 66 inches to get 86 inches. Then divide by 2 to get 43 inches which would be Mindy's height. Hope this helps!

Thanks a lot. would you mind this one also? In february, pauls electric bill was three dollars more than one-half his gas bill. if his electric bill was ninety-two dollars, what was the gas bill?

Well this is similar to the other problem, however inverted. Alright so his electric bill was 92 dollars which is 3 dollars more than half his gas bill. Well subtract 92 by 3 to get 89 and then multiply by 2 since 89 is half of his gas bill which equals 178.
So 178 dollars is his gas bill.
