A Queensland toad travels 10 m/day. How far will it travel in 5 hours

OpenStudy (anonymous):

There is 24 hours in a day, so you have \(\dfrac{10~m}{24~hours}=\dfrac{x}{5~hours}\) You need to find x. Any idea?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

10 divided by 24 so that you know how many milees per hour. then .4166666 per hour. times it by five and you have your answer. 2.083333 miles in five hours

Cross multiply is one way to go.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

round it to 2.08 or 2.1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cross multiply to get fifty = twentyfour X then divide fifty by twentyfour, thanks
