An experiment is designed to determine the launch angle that will give a projectile the greatest range (make it go the longest distance). The "launcher" is a slingshot type apparatus that is spring-loaded and released by a trigger. For each trial, the same painted rock is retrieved and launched. Measurements are taken linearly from the launch site to the landing site. The trials were done on a windless day. Which of the following is the dependent variable? the amount of wind how the distance was measured how far the rock went

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I believe it would be the angle of the launcher. if not it's the distance the rock went. Independent and dependent always gave me trouble.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its not that, can it b the last one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

the answer would be :- how the distance was measured

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thnx

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

because we know that longest projectile range would be given by only 45 degree angle and if we throw it with 60 degree or 30 degree other than 45 degree, then there will be short path as compared to 45 degree path. therefore, the answer would be how the distance was measured.

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

understood? @hhelpplzzzz and @ThomasScott

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep:)) thnx

OpenStudy (mayankdevnani):

good and welcome :)
