Nnesha (nnesha):

first one look good

Nnesha (nnesha):

2nd one is also look good

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Question : 6 is also looking fine.. \(3 <x < 6\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3rd one is also looking fine to me.. :) Good, Well done..

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep good yah !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what about this one?

Nnesha (nnesha):

what you get when you solve first one which is 5a + 12 < 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Calculate the same for first one.. For second you have got \(a < 3\), which is right..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nnesha the first one was a < -2 but that is clearly irrelevant because the second one was a < 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

only a few more(: thank you everybody

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, you are right, x = 5..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can someone walk me through this one please?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I think in that you have to write both, a < -2 as well as a < 3 too.. Are you given with any answer choices?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no, that one is something i have to write. i did write an explanation about the -2 tho beneath it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nnesha i dont think so... the -2 is just irrelevant

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a is in between -2 and 3 if a > -2 and a < 3 which is not the case here..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Nnesha it is simple to check: For first one a < -2, let us take a = -1, it will not satisfy first inequality, as -1 is greater than -2 and not less than..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can someone please walk me through the one i asked?

Nnesha (nnesha):

yeah i understand thanks

Nnesha (nnesha):

ok so last one when you take a absolute value of a number you left with two answer positive and negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See, for mods, one time you take positive and next time you take negative of it.. |3x|>= 21 It implies that: 3x >= 21 or -3x >= 21 Just solve the two inequalities..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahhhh. gracias

Nnesha (nnesha):

now just solve for x be careful with second one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i have a few more if anyone here is still putting up with this crap haha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Nnesha (nnesha):

yep they all are right

Nnesha (nnesha):
