HELP NOWWWWWWW!!!!!! :( On a number line, point S has coordinate 4.8 and point T has coordinate -2.3 Which expressions represent the distance between point S and point T? Choose all answers that are correct. A. I4.8+(-2.3)I B. I2.3-4.8I C. I-2.3-4.8I D. I4.8-(-2.3)I (Just so you know: The little lines are not 1's or L's.)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I DONT KNOW. :(

OpenStudy (gorv):

well for finding distance we subtract

OpenStudy (gorv):

zero is between these 2 points

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would I do that though?

OpenStudy (gorv):

one is at 4.8 m right

OpenStudy (gorv):

and one is 2.3 m left

OpenStudy (gorv):

so distance = 4.8+2.3

OpenStudy (gorv):

that is 4.8 -(-2.3)

OpenStudy (gorv):

we subtarcted -2.3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Would it be 7.1??

OpenStudy (gorv):

yeppp
