This is NOT for a quiz, homework, or anything like that, but I was wondering, What was the significance of the 13th,14th, and 15th amendments? And please be clear!

The 13th amendment abolished slavery I beleive

The 15th Amendment prohibited the government to deny the chance to vote based on a citizens race

And the 14th amendment..

Here is some text from the 14th amendment: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws."

So I guess that means no states shall enforce a law that prohibits a citizens privlieges
