OpenStudy (aum):

\[ y \le -2|x| \]

OpenStudy (aum):

|x| is always positive. The negative 2 in front of it makes the solution for y always negative (which means the solution lies below the x-axis). The "equality" in "less than equal to" makes it a solid boundary.

makes total sense now! thank youuuuu

you are welcome.
