billy has 1 gallon of paints. He is going to pour it into a paint tray that measures 10 inches wide , 14 inches long , and 4 cm deep

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would first compute the volume of the tray and I would do that in cubic inches. 10" X 14" X (4/2.54) that would be: 10" X 14" x 1.5748" or 220.472 cubic inches. Do you follow so far with understanding? The height that was given in cm (4 cm) was converted to inches and volume was obtained by multiplying width X lenght, X depth.

ok... thanks for sharing that tell billy to be careful no to drop paint on his clothes
