The volume of a rectangular prism of the same width (2r) and height h, as the cylinder, is found by multiplying the area of the base by the height. It sounds like the base of the prism is a square with sides all equal to 2r the base of the cylinder is a circle with radius r the volume of the cylinder is (area of base) * height area of the circle with radius r is what ?
