First pull out a 2 to make the coefficient of x 1
so you have |x+1/2| less than or equal to 5/2
draw a number line and mark a point 1/2....do 1/2 +5/2 which is 3 and mark that to the right of 1/2
do 1/2-5/2 which is -2 and mark that point to the left of 1/2
