Need help with basic data representation...
I'm thinking it's box and whisker plot...
@jim_thompson5910 do you think you could help with this one?
I think you are right @Wimsicle but not 100% sure...
Someone else thought it might be 'bar graph' but I'm pretty sure it isn't that. The line graph isn't right because this is single-variable data, and the circle graph is mostly for percentages which isn't needed in this case. Therefore, it technically HAS to be box and whisker plot... I don't know /:
Thank you for your input though, @Samus_Aran.
no prob
@aum could you possibly confirm my answer?
I am inclined towards bar graph.
Interesting. Could you explain why that would be better than the usage of a box-and-whisker plot?
The lowest salary is $18,986. The highest salary is $142,000. We can have 8 salary groups: 0 - 20k 20k - 40k 40k - 60k 60k - 80k 80k - 100k 100k - 120k 120k - 140k 140k - 160k Then we can count the frequency for each row and plot them in a bar graph.
That would be my preference. But I am not sure if that is the BEST method.
Thank you for your input, I think that although the application of the bar graph COULD work, the box-and-whisker plot *may* be the 'easier' way to apply these numbers visually. Your explanation was quite eloquent, so I'll medal you for that c:
You are welcome.
