only ferromagnetic elements can be repelled or attracted to a magnet or another ferromagnetic element right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so brass or copper cant stick to a ferromagnetic element that became magnetic or magnets right?

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

brass and copper dont have iron (or cobalt or nickel ) in them so they can not be ferromagnetic , and will not be attracted to magnetic poles, however there are other types of magnetism, paramagnetism, and diamagnetism , which can effect substances that do not contain iron or cobalt or nickel
