Sorry to post this here, but can someone help me with a few history questions?
Why did the United States involve itself in a civil dispute on the Korean peninsula in the 1950s? to obtain an economic foothold in the region to exercise the policy of containment to protect Koreans from Japanese imperialism to exercise the policy of d'tente
yea sure
b
Its B like @Here_to_Help15 said.
This is what my lesson said, but I don't really see the answer. I had thought it was C. One of the first major military conflicts of the Cold War was in Korea. Until the end of World War II, Korea was part of the Japanese Empire, which had annexed Korea in 1910. When Japan collapsed at the end of World War II, Korea found itself with a Soviet army in the north and a U.S. army in the south. For administrative purposes, the Soviets and the Americans agreed to temporarily divide Korea at the 38th parallel. Northern Korea would be assisted by the Soviets, while southern Korea would be run by the Americans.
I'll go with B tho. Thanks guys!
Can you help me with another? @Here_to_Help15
