looks like it. drawing is kinda bad. is it really a rectangle? wouldn't it be a square if that circle can fit in it? if so just find the area of a circle. divide that by two then find the area of the square then subtract the area of the half circle from the area of the square. right?

It's a rectangle. Two pair of congruent and parallel sides and four right angles. Definitely the same top and bottom and the same right and left. If you have a drawing and no one TELLS you it is a rectangle, that's a horse of a different color.

it's a semi circle and we're assuming the circle goes to the bottom of the rectangle so so the length of the rectangle is the diameter of the semi circle so half of the diameter is the radius which is also the height of the rectangle.

the area of a square is 128. put that on the side. next on the to do list is finding the area of a CIRCLE. we're done with the rectangle for now. now lets think about the circle. area of a circle is \[\pi r^2\] now just put the radius into that equation. remember that we know what the radius is since we know that the semi circle's height is also the radius. now use the height for the "r" here.
